ABOUT

Believe it or not a lot of European countries will not pay the full price on anything. I am convinced its upbringing and who knows maybe genetic, but they are constantly haggling. It’s a normal staple in these countries. And in my opinion I feel it’s a lost art. I believe people just bite the bullet and believe the price you see is the price you pay. Well that is full of crap! You never have to pay what is on the tag and you are not forced to pay full price. If so, just walk away and find someone who will give you the deal you’re looking for. Especially in this country we live in where everything is in full abundance.

This is where I come in. You will find information on how to think outside the box. And nope I am not going to give you links or internet sites to find the deals, let alone where to shop. That will have to be your decision.

You will have to work to find the deals. Yes you heard me work! This ultimately means “Research”. On this website I will show you how to do research and even find you some tools. Which ultimately find you the deals!

Now you will notice as this site grows, I will not just cover deals and discounts. I will be going also into financial planning, and other related fields. Because I believe to be fully versed in frugalology you need to cover all avenues dealing with money.

Now I am not teaching you to be cheap. On the contrary I’m teaching you to be wise in your decisions. Big difference between cheap and being frugal. Let me break it down…..

Cheap: Is someone who pretty much takes advantage of every situation which will either harm or embarrass him or her. For example you ever see those people who take a stack of napkins at your local donut shop, more then they really ever need? Or Steal the toilet paper from the men’s/women’s washrooms? Pretty much they have no shame. But unfortunately leads to getting black listed by everyone you know. Look at Bob he’s a cheapskate… Got the message? Good.

Frugal: Is someone who refuses to pay retail, someone who does extensive research and will not buy a product or services on a whim. It’s someone who is not greedy and only buys what they need. Finally it’s a person who is constantly thinking outside the box, nothing more nothing less.

When you leave this website I am trying to emphasize on one thing. That is to start trying to be a more “What I need, not what I want” type of person and this way maybe, we all will "Stop Getting Hosed"! Or should I say sucked into buying every gadget that’s out there on a whim. And please come back I will be constantly placing new articles that will continue to help develop your frugal mannerisms. Along the way I can use this tool to help improve my experience in becoming a more frugal person and together maybe we can share our discoveries.

So please move on to the Introduction section there I will go into more detail on what I will cover on this website.
