WE
ALL NEED IS A GOOD AFFIRMATION
Confidence, motivation and self discipline are key
to anyone’s success. If you don’t have
one, my suggestion is start too. Without it, good luck if you get anything done
in life. Just keeping a positive outlook on things helps get rid of the
negativity in your life. Negative thought bring negative outcomes. I am big on
the philosophy of “for every action there is a reaction”.
Positive
Vs. Negative thought:
Now how do we get there? Well start with getting rid
of negativity in your life, this includes people. You know the ones who are
constantly complaining and whining, they are always producing a lot of
negativity. Another is to attempt to stop thinking negative about pretty much
everything. Try to find the good in it or the lesson to be learned. I know it’s
hard I am still struggling with this one. But it’s large when it comes to
confidence, self esteem and success. Finally people just like working with
positive people, it’s more productive. Plus people are usually willing to open
up to you. They love to Include you in their endeavors, because positive
attitudes come solutions and negative ones come excuses.
Compliment
Yourself:
Give yourself a pat on the back, we don’t do that
too often but we need to do it. And there are many ways. One is keep a journal
of your day to day tasks and accomplishments. And every so often review what
you have done in the past month. Just seeing all the stuff you have done places
a chip on your shoulder and increase your motivation.
Talk To
Yourself:
Learn to talk to yourself. May sound silly or a
little insane, but it really works! It’s
a great confidence builder. Just saying wow I did great on that project, or man
the pergola I built turned out fantastic. This is all great for your self esteem
and motivates you to tackle bigger and better things.
Planning
Is Key:
Set your goals from a life and a financial
perspective. So plan what you want to achieve for you and your family. Now you
need to break this down and set yourself goals. There is a lot of material on
this I suggest you read up on this. And also get your finances also aligned, by
making a financial plan. This includes a budget to see where all your money is
going, and plans for retirement. Savings plan for what you want to buy in the
future. Finally a net worth plan to see what your worth. Once these are built
and maintained you will be more confident and motivated to move onto bigger and
better things.
Be One
With Yourself:
Finally spend some quiet time everyday for yourself.
Say an hour, or what I do take a weekend off away from the family to reset your
bearings. Here I can concentrate on me and my needs. It’s a time to set your
goals prioritize your life and just figure out your next steps are. Plus the
quiet time is great for the mind and body. This way you go back less stressed
and trust me your family appreciates a calm and loving person. This is
something that should be done almost monthly even for a few hours. And everyone
should do it.
Research:
Once again there is a lot of info out there on these
topics and I highly recommend you attack these. These are crucial to your well
being, for your body, soul and mind. I am sure you will agree a confident and
motivated person gets the things you want in life. Unfortunately for most of us
we don’t get things served on a silver platter. And I don’t think we should be
given things without working for it. We all should design and build our destiny
in the world we live in. We all in our hearts want to leave some sort of legacy
or remembrance in the future. |
